WESTON, W.Va. – Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Leighanne Jackson, Nurse Practitioner. She will be specializing in both the pulmonary and family medicine fields.

Leighanne enjoys her work in healthcare and said that she looks forward to working in this community with pulmonologist Dr. Roger Abrahams at Mon Health Pulmonology. She will be practicing at Mon Health Pulmonology on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and at Mon Health Primary Care, Garton Plaza, on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

“I really look forward to building relationships with the community in both pulmonology and family practice. This is especially true since my home is in Buckhannon. It is good to know the people and for the people to know me,” she said. “This will be a new and exciting experience for me, and I invite patients looking for a family medicine provider to make an appointment with me.”

Leighanne received her nursing degree from Grand Canyon University and her master’s from Purdue University. She was a clinical preceptor at Ruby Hospital, in Morgantown for five years.  She also worked at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh before coming to West Virginia.

She and her husband, Robert, have two girls and live in Buckhannon. She is originally from Beaver County, PA but loves her home here. She enjoys reading and taking care of her children, who are one of the greatest joys of her life.
