Rev. Nancy Sue Killingsworth, age 79, of Arlington, TX, and formerly of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Grapevine Medical Lodge.
She was born on November 14, 1942, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late John and Jessie Irene Aley Capicola. On August 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Don Bernard Killingsworth, who preceded her in death on July 3, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother Samuel Ray Capicola.
She is survived by one daughter Diana “Dee” Killingsworth and husband Rey Visarriagas of Arlington, TX; one son Don “Kevin” Killingsworth and wife Marlene of Pickerington, OH; two granddaughters: Brianna and Alyssa; and one sister Wilma Genevieve Pulice and husband Bill of Bridgeport.
Rev. Killingsworth was a graduate of Fairmont State College and spent 35 years teaching, 15 in Harrison County and 20 at the Buckhannon-Upshur Intermediate School, retiring in 2000. From 1998-1999, she was the Pastor of the Ten Mile United Methodist Church, then beginning in 2000, was Pastor of the Laurel Fork and French Creek United Methodist Churches.
The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 10-11:00 AM—the funeral hour, with Pastor Treasea Crites officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Ford Cemetery.
