Wesleyan lacrosse picked fifth in MEC preseason poll

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan women’s lacrosse has been selected to finish fifth in the Mountain East Conference, the league announced today. WVWC totaled nine points in the vote.

Frostburg State and Notre Dame College tied for first with 23 total points and three first-place votes each. Charleston (17), Davis & Elkins (13), WVWC (9), and Alderson Broaddus (5) closed out the poll.

The Lady Bobcats finished the 2022 season (3-11) overall and (0-8) in MEC play. WVWC picked up non-conference wins over Edinboro, Randolph and Waynesburg.

Wesleyan opens up at home with Ashland University on Saturday, February 18 at Cebe Ross Field.
