Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center showcases new cardiac CT technology

Davis Medical Center recently hosted an open house exclusively for staff members, offering an inside look at their latest cardiac imaging technology: the Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA). Held in the imaging department, the event allowed staff across departments to examine the innovative technology, learn from radiology staff, and understand its impact on patient care within the community.

Radiology team members explained the diagnostic capabilities of Cardiac CTA, which provides highly detailed imaging of coronary arteries. This offers a non-invasive alternative to traditional cardiac catheterization and aids in early heart disease detection.

“Our new cardiac CT technology represents a major step forward in our ability to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions with speed and precision,” said Joseph Dibacco, RT (R), System Director of Diagnostic Imaging for Davis Medical Center. “The open house allowed us to showcase this powerful resource to our staff, who are on the front lines of patient care and can now share with patients the incredible benefits this technology will bring.”

The Cardiac CTA expands services as part of Vandalia Health’s dedication to providing top-tier heart care in the region. Mon Health Heart & Vascular cardiologists in Elkins will collaborate with the Davis Medical imaging team to ensure timely coordination of heart care for patients.
