Wesleyan swim teams fall both days to in Battle of the Hills to Davis & Elkins

Day 1:
The first day of the Battle of the Hills took place in Elkins, WV. The Women’s team would lose 152-53 and Men losing 106-59. Notable performers for the Men’s team on Day 1 included Alejandro Cedillo who tallied 3 first place finishes in three different events. He would take 1st in the 100 Yd Butterfly with a time of 59.84, followed by a time of 2:21.11 in the Mens 200 Yd IM. In the 50 Yd Butterfly, he would have a close finish, placing first with a time of 26.51. Senior, Nicholas Gerosa would take 1st place in the Mens 60 Yd Backstroke with a time of 27.85.

The Women’s team had multiple first place finishes starting with Rhyan Murphy in the 200 Yd Free with a time of 2:06.63. Rhyan would also place first in the 100 Yd Free with a time of 57.52. Breanna Waldron placed 1st in the Womens 200 Yd IM with a time of 2:33.21.

Day 2:
Both teams would travel to the Natatorium in Buckhannon for day 2. It was senior day for the Wesleyan swim team as three seniors were honored including Nicholas Gerosa, RayAnn Nadolski, and Zeina Abdelsalam. For the Men’s team, Aaron Taylor would win the 1650 Yd Free with a time of 18:39.99. For the Women, Ryan Murphy would yet again take the 50 Yd and 100 Yd Free with times of 25.98 and 57.29.
