Highland Landscaping takes week one lead in men’s golf league standings

Highland Landscaping claimed an early lead in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League, defeating Feola’s Flowers and topping the standings after the opening week of play.

TENNERTON – The 2025 Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League got underway on Wednesday with Highland Landscaping taking the early lead in the eight-team league.

Highland Landscaping took first place in week one with a 27 ½-12 ½ win over Feola’s Flowers.

High Point Construction is a close second after week one with a 27-13 victory over Custom Cabinets.

Sam’s Pizza is in third place after a 23 1/2-16 1/2 victory over Hank Ellis Insurance while Lisa Cain Edward Jones beat First Community Bank by a 23-17 score to take up fourth place.

John Moss of Highland Landscaping won low actual honors with a 35 and he won low net honors with a 31.
