This is an early-20th-century photo of the Buckhannon Chemical Plant located in Selbyville, Banks District. The plant produced charcoal, acetate of lime and wood alcohol from 1903 until the early 1930s. Today, this site is the location of the Upshur County Youth Camp. Buckhannon-Upshur High School has released its second quarter honor roll for the 2025-26 school year. Students with a 4.0+ GPA earned Distinguished Honor Roll honors, while those with a 3.5–3.99 GPA made the Honor Roll.
