The Buckhannon Fire Department has announced the city’s annual Christmas Parade will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024.

The parade will start at 6 p.m., with the lineup beginning at 5 p.m. on Madison Street, near the Goodwill parking lot. Members of the Buckhannon Fire Department will organize and line up the participants. There is no application process and only one rule: no Santas are allowed, as the Buckhannon Fire Department has a designated Santa. To join the parade, participants should arrive at the lineup location by 5 p.m.

Following the parade, Santa will be at the Fire Station, and everyone is invited to attend.

A map of the route indicates that the parade will necessitate the closure of Main Street.
