Dakota Douglas Tuttle, age 28, of Duquesne, PA, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Monroeville, PA.
He was born March 7, 1995, in Elkins, WV, a son of Edward Matthew Tuttle of Jane Lew, WV and Nicole Diane Weese of Morgantown, WV. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father, Tyson E. Bubnar of Morgantown; three sisters, Savannah Petrulak and husband Jay of Buckhannon and Linnea Tuttle and Abigail McGhee both of Morgantown; paternal grandfather, James E. Tuttle of Ashland, OH; paternal grandmother, Tressie Tuttle of Buckhannon; paternal great-grandmother, Martha Beers of Ashland; maternal grandparents, Donald and Denise Weese of Buckhannon; maternal great-grandparents, Frankie and Wanda Casto of Buckhannon; uncle, James Tuttle and wife Rhonda of Ironton, MO and aunt, Wendie Davis and husband Kenny of Buckhannon.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Shane Weese, and cousin, Whitney Tuttle.
Dakota, known as Cody to his Pennsylvania friends, was a long-haul truck driver and a volunteer fire fighter. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Dakota was an adventurous soul who was proud to say he had traveled to all 50 states and two territories. Dakota loved his family and enjoyed spending every moment he could with them. In his final act of service, Dakota was an organ donor who saved numerous lives. He was a hero and a very special soul that will be missed by all.
Friends will be received, Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 PM at the church. Burial will follow at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV.
