Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center invites the community to its Healthy Heart Forum, a special event dedicated to heart health awareness, prevention and management. The event will take place at 5:30PM, Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the hospital’s MarketPlace. For those unable to attend in person, the forum will also be broadcast live on the Davis Health System Facebook page.
Vandalia Health experts will cover key topics on heart health, including:
- Allison Channell, Pharm. D., Director of Pharmacy “Over-the-Counter Medications and High Blood Pressure” – Learn how common medications can affect heart health and what to watch out for.
- Becky Piehler, RN, CCRP, Cardiac Rehab Charge Nurse “Life’s Simple 7 – Take Action for Your Heart” – Discover seven simple steps to improve heart health and reduce the risk of heart disease.
- Jim Severino, Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator “The Role of Nutrition in Cardiovascular Disease” – Explore how dietary choices impact heart health and strategies for better nutrition.
- Chris Hedio, Disease Management Specialist and Exercise Physiologist “Healthy Year for a Healthy You” – Learn the top ten easiest ways to improve health and longevity throughout the year – and sustain for a lifetime.
