Douglas Wayne Edgell, 51, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly of Buckhannon, French Creek, West Virginia, passed away at his home following a massive heart attack on February 26, 2025.

Doug is survived by his wife Michelle Hawkins Edgell, his daughter Amber Edgell (Brandon) Tsosie, his father Les W. Edgell (Carol), his sister Cindi Edgell Helmick, his grandmother Marian Harris and his father-in-law Bobby Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Darla Winemiller Edgell, his brother Steven Curtis Edgell and his mother-in-law Ruth Hawkins.

Doug was a train engineer for CSX Railroad for twenty years. He loved the railroad, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and an active volunteer at the Temple in Idaho Falls.

His wish was to be cremated and his ashes brought back to West Virginia. This will be honored later this spring.
