BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur recently welcomed Dr. Susan Aloi, Health Program Officer for the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon, to its membership.
Originally from the DC area, Susan Aloi is a West Virginian by choice, settling here soon after graduating from college and making Buckhannon home for more than 20 years. She earned her M.B.A and B.S. from West Virginia Wesleyan College and her Doctorate from West Virginia University.
Throughout her adult life, Dr. Aloi has been engaged in communities, helping to start and govern nonprofits, and advocating for creative forms of community and economic development. A faculty member of West Virginia Wesleyan College since 2007, Aloi served most recently as Director of School of Business at the college and is currently an instructor in the MBA program.
She serves on the board of the West Virginia Nonprofit Association, is co-president of the West Virginia Center for Civic Life, a member of the Kettering Foundation’s Business & Community Research Exchange, Create Buckhannon, and Alumni Council at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
“We are very pleased to welcome Susan into our club,” said Julie Keehner, Club President. “Susan’s background and commitment to community service will be a great asset to our mission of providing Service Above Self.”
