Frances “Frani” May Rohr

Frances “Frani” May Rohr, 78, of Buckhannon, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

She was born in Buckhannon on December 5, 1946, a daughter of Joseph Max Guth and Nellie Louise Guth. On November 15, 1968, Frani married her true love, best friend, and soul mate, Rodney Rohr. Together they shared the joys of raising their children and loving on their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Greeting her at Heaven’s Gate with her parents are two brothers: Joseph M. Guth, Jr. and Patrick Guth; and two nephews: Kirk Guth and Justin Mick.

Forever cherishing their memories of Frani’s quick wit with Rod are two children: Angela Louise Hickman and husband, Corey, of Buckhannon, and Robert Rodney Rohr and wife, Rita, of Champion, OH; nine grandchildren: Austin, Abigail May, Faith, Ashley and husband, Josh, Collin and wife, Danielle, Justin and wife, Stephanie, Jarrett, Haylee, and Emma; eight great grandchildren: Lyla, Bronson, Stetson, June, Cash, Wyatt, Everett, and Rory; one sister, Kathy Mick; one brother, Michael Guth; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Bill and Diane White.

Frani graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1965. She was the heartbeat of her family, a homemaker whose labor of love was never-ending. She was a devoted caregiver to her children as well as others. Frani also enjoyed cross stitch, plastic canvas, and ceramics, but her greatest joy came from spoiling her grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Frani cherished the memories she made traveling with family and friends.

Frani’s request for cremation has been honored by Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
