The Mountain CAP Family Support Center and Play to Grow Occupational Therapy are offering a free Occupational Therapy Session focusing on fine motor development for children. The session will take place on September 24 from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. at 30 East Main Street in Buckhannon.
Children attending the session will receive free writing tools. Pre-registration is necessary and can be completed by calling (304) 878-1115 or emailing Lvannostrand@mountaincapwv.org.

With extreme cold settling in, West Virginia roads will likely stay icy despite extensive plowing and salting. Pavement temperature, sunlight, traffic friction and salt chemistry all fail in deep freezes, leaving crews with little they can do until temps rise.

Faye Cutright, 88, a longtime Buckhannon office manager and Methodist, died Jan. 24, 2026; she is survived by siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family, and the family requests memorial rose plantings in lieu of flowers.
