Gary Maxwell Gibson, 73, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon.

He was born June 18, 1947, in Upshur County, W.Va., a son of the late Gerald Brown and Goldie Irene Lewis Gibson.

Surviving are his friends, Vera Reel and husband Richard of Buckhannon; two sisters, Patty Lemar and Barbara Oldaker and his cousin, Darlene Horback.

Mr. Gibson was a Carpenter, a Mountaineer fan and loved watching football. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed their Wednesday night dinners. He also loved puzzles, going on rides and going out to dinner.

In honoring Mr. Gibson’s wishes, he will be cremated.
