Kenneth Earl Wilson, age 74, of Rock Cave, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born in Cassity, WV, on February 5, 1950, a son of the late Orrie Earl and Mary Geneva Zickefoose Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Faye Wilson on June 21, 2020.
He is survived by one daughter Amy and husband Duane Sikarskie of Ellamore; two sons: Kenneth Junior “JR” Wilson of Elkins and Jason Daniel Wilson and fiancée Tracie Cogar of French Creek; one stepson Bobby Dean Hoskins, II and wife Dawn of Watertown, NY; two grandsons: Tyler and Caleb Sikarskie; five sisters: Sharon (Terry) Powers of French Creek, Roseanne (Gene) Brake of Rock Cave, Barbara Sanders of French Creek, Penny (Delbert) Phillips of French Creek, and Becky (Stanley) Pugh of Rock Cave; and three brothers: Leonard (Helena) Wilson, David (Lisa) Wilson, and Alvin (Rena) Wilson, all of Rock Cave.
Mr. Wilson was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed working in his yard, tending his flowers, fishing and working jigsaw puzzles.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at the Rock Cave Cemetery with Pastor David Jessie officiating; the Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
