Margaret Lynn McClure, 80, of Helvetia, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born in Czar on March 7, 1944, a daughter of the late James and Bernice Smith Morgan. Along with her parents, greeting her at Heaven’s Gate are one brother, Kenneth Morgan; and one great granddaughter, Brooke Kelly. On July 3, 1962, Margaret married Charles McClure, together spending over sixty-two years of love and life.
Forever cherishing their memories of Margaret’s hardworking nature with her husband are two sons: James McClure and David McClure and wife, Karen; three grandsons: Brad McClure and wife, Stacy, Wayne McClure and wife, Katrina, and Dylan McClure and wife, Kaitlyn; three great grandchildren: Katie, Jacob, and Claire McClure; three sisters: Helen Hinkle, Esthelene Cagle, and Carol Cutright and husband, Delmer; four brothers: James Morgan, Vernon Morgan and wife, Donna, Philip Morgan, and Morgan Morgan and wife, Susan; and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a graduate of Pickens High School and a proud homemaker. Her love for her family was boundless and she demonstrated it in tangible ways, most notably through her love for cooking. Every meal Margaret prepared was an expression of her love, every dish a testament to her culinary skills and a source of joy for those fortunate to partake. Her home, always filled with the tantalizing aroma of home-cooked meals, was a haven of love, warmth and nourishment. Margaret was also a devoted member of Pine Grove Methodist Church, where she nurtured her spiritual life and contributed to the communal spirit through her active involvement.
Her life was a tapestry of beautiful moments, woven together by her love for her family and her unwavering faith. Margaret’s presence was a source of comfort and her memory will forever be a guiding light for those who knew her. In the words of Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Margaret’s legacy is a beautiful testament to this truth. Her spirit continues to live on through the love she shared, the meals she prepared and the lives she touched.
Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Clutter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Czar.
