WESTON, W.Va. – Providing quality specialists is important for the patients of Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (SJMH) in Weston. The addition of Mon Health Medical Center pulmonologist Roger A. Abrahams, M.D., F.C.C.P., to the SJMH medical staff provides an important choice for local patients with respiratory disease.

SJMH CAO Avah Stalnaker is pleased with the addition and wrote, “Having such a qualified pulmonary specialist for our patients can be a matter of life and death. Dr. Abrahams has a very good reputation and we are happy to have him providing his services here.”

Dr. Abraham brings many years of experience to this vital specialty with a large resume of teaching experience, clinical research, and both private practice and work in the Mon Health System.

He is pleased to provide his services to this area and said, “Patients in smaller communities like Weston are so kind and appreciative to receive quality care that it makes my job more fulfilling. When I saw a patient last week, they commented that no one had ever explained their illness or medications to them before like I did. Their gratitude made my trip to Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital worth it.”

Dr. Abrahams brings a wealth of experience to Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital as he has been serving the community as a Pulmonologist at Mon Health Medical Center for more than 30 years. Dr. Abrahams also is a clinical associate professor of medicine at West Virginia University.

Dr. Abrahams will be seeing patients at 29 Hospital Plaza in Weston, located across from the Hospital.
