Mon Health System recognizes 2022 ICARE Champions of the Year

MORGANTOWN, WV – Mon Health Medical Center, Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital have recognized their ICARE Champions of the Year for 2022 as Rocky Cooper, Chase McFadden, and Denzil Graham.

Mon Health System recognized many incredible employees throughout 2022 as monthly ICARE Champions. Nominations are based on the Mon Health System ICARE Values, which stand for Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. ICARE Champions of the Year were chosen from the 2022 monthly winners.

Rocky Cooper is a Benefits Specialist and was the March 2022 ICARE Champion at Mon Health Medical Center. He has been employed for over 20 years and enjoys spending time outdoors, at WVU sporting events, and with his family.

Rocky’s nomination said, “Rocky is very caring and a problem solver. He is a fighter for employees. With great effort, he was finally able to get me approved and provide me with a letter of approval so that I could move forward with my medical situation. Rocky clearly understands that employees are his customers too. This experience makes me glad to be a part of the Mon Health System family.”

Chase McFadden works in Information Technology and was the October 2022 ICARE Champion at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. Chase enjoys video gaming and weightlifting.

Chase’s nomination said, “Chase is always honest and straightforward when he comes to the office to work on our IT issues. He demonstrates integrity by being sure the job is done right and there’s nothing left to do. He seems like the kind of clean cut, eager, positive young man we want representing us in the community. Chase is always so pleasant, upbeat, and he radiates kindness.”

Denzil Graham is a Respiratory Therapist and was the July 2022 ICARE Champion at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. He has been employed for 18 years and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Denzil’s nomination said, “A patient showed up for an X-ray and they were not on the schedule for that day. At that time of day, the equipment for testing was shut down. Denzil was sympathetic towards the patient and asked if it was okay to reboot the equipment to get her study done while she was still here and save her a trip back to the hospital. I feel he went above and beyond to make this patient happy.”

“We are incredibly proud of our ICARE Champions of the Year. Each of our recipients are amazing representations of our mission, vision, and values, and they are all incredibly deserving of this award,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health.
