Nancy Ann Hamrick

Nancy Ann Hamrick, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born September 5, 1947, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late William and Christine Bonner Reed.

On August 18, 1982, she married Ralph Junior Hamrick of Buckhannon who survives. Also surviving are four children, James Reed of IN, Robert Davis and wife Rheanna of Buckhannon, Leslie Davis of Buckhannon and Eugene Hamrick of Manassas, VA; two daughters-in-law, Marjorie Loudin Davis of French Creek, WV and Victoria Hamrick of Manassas; five grandchildren, Kelly Davis of Sneads Ferry, NC, Kyle Davis of Weston, WV, Lillian Davis of Buckhannon, Liam Davis of Buckhannon and Chrystal Hamrick of Manassas and two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Yates of Sneads Ferry and Gracie Hamrick of Manassas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Hamrick; four sisters, Freda Skidmore, Elizabeth Sims, Dottie Judy and Ruth Reed and seven brothers, Richard, Ralph, Wayne, Neil, Robert, Billy and Junior Reed.

Mrs. Hamrick was a cook at Holbrooks and a Baptist by faith. She was a member of the VFW women’s auxiliary and loved dancing and gambling with her sister Freda. Nancy was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Nigel Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Excelsior, WV.
