UPDATE: The Buckhannon Police Department has recovered one of the two missing bicycles. Nathan Fetty, owner of the Cannondale mountain bike, said his bike had been found Monday afternoon, shortly after the BPD sent out a bulletin regarding two missing bicycles.

“The Buckhannon Police Department responded quickly and professionally,” Fetty told My Buckhannon. “My family and I are grateful to officers Angel McCauley, Tanner Collins and their colleagues at the department for having our backs.”

ORIGINAL STORY: The Buckhannon Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they investigate two stolen bike cases that occurred over the holidays.

On Dec. 26, the BPD received a complaint of a breaking and entering that resulted in a stolen bicycle, according to a bulletin from the department. The bike was a Cannondale with a unique orange front fork installed.

The second bicycle theft occurred a day later. In that incident, police have obtained a photo of a person of interest walking with the bike. That picture is at top.
