Richard Hilis “Rick” Hull, Jr., age 59, of Buckhannon and more recently of Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home in Rochester, PA following a sudden illness.
He was born in New London, Connecticut on April 23, 1964, a son of the late Richard Hilis “Dick” Hull and Kay Nutter Fisher, who survives in Ohio. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his two daughters: Kari and spouse Mary Hull of Clarksburg and Kati and spouse Nick Opferman of Charles Town, WV; five grandchildren: Kenzie and Haleigh Gump and Kale, Reese, and Judd Bennett; two sisters: Darla Stelzer of Ohio and Kimberly and spouse Dan Ebie of Ohio; also, his first wife and mother of his two daughters, Mary Hull of Buckhannon; his fiancée, Trish Toth of Rochester, PA and her son, Travis of Beaver, PA. Rick is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends too numerous to mention.
Rick was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield Township, Akron, Ohio. He was employed as a finance manager for many years at Mid-State Chevrolet Buick in Sutton, WV. While residing in Buckhannon he was an active member and an avid pool player in tournaments in the Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598, the Buckhannon Elks Lodge 1736 and the Buckhannon Eagles Club. Rick loved adventure and you would find him in his spare time boating, riding his motorcycle or his jeep and he loved the adventures of drag racing and go cart racing.
The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Pleasant Cemetery at Abbott.
