Rose Anne Shreve Cutright

Rose Anne Shreve Cutright, 85, of the Lee Glass Road, Tallmansville, departed this life on Monday, October 21, 2019, at Holbrook on the Hill. 

Rose was born December 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Homer and Weltha Humphrey Shreve.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

On March 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Floyd V. Cutright, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2017. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by seven brothers:  Hubert, Oscar, Junior, Ray, Gene, Harold, and Robert Shreve and four sisters:  Opal Ervin, Helen Crosswhite, Margaret Dean, and Wanda Humphrey.  She is survived by four daughters:  Katha Bond, Lucille Cutright, Ione and husband David Bender, and Jean and husband Terry Peggs; one son Mark Cutright; six grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and special friends:  Cucumber and Onion. 

Rose was a graduate of Buckhannon High School and a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church, where she was the song leader.  She worked as an in-home aide through the Senior Center.  Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who never met a stranger.  She was dearly loved by her family and will be remembered as a friend by everyone she met.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 4-8 p.m., at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.  The funeral will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 2 p.m., at the funeral chapel, with Pastor Tim Lewis officiating.  Private interment will be held in the Tallmansville Baptist Cemetery.
