The West Virginia Knights of Columbus present an icon of St. Joseph to WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital

The West Virginia Knights of Columbus recently presented an icon of St. Joseph to WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital. The icon was painted by Elizabeth Bergeron from a drawing by famed iconographer Alexandre Sobolov.

Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly chose to entrust his service as Supreme Knight to St. Joseph. Through the Pilgrim Icon Program, he encourages Knights to “turn in prayer to St. Joseph and give thanks to God for the gift of fatherly example.” The St. Joseph icon is the latest icon to be a part of the Knights of Columbus Pilgrim Icon Program.

The icon painting is displayed on the first floor of the hospital near the hospital’s gift shop.
