Twila Darlene Edgell

Twila Darlene Edgell, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

She was born October 2, 1951, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late John and Julia “Judy” Gillespie Bender.

On September 30, 1972, she married Ray Edgell who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Bev Barnett and husband Josh of Buckhannon; granddaughter, Makena Barnett of Buckhannon; grandson, Avery Barnett of Buckhannon and sister Brenda “Beni” Bender and companion David Curry of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Edgell was a hairdresser, worked at Walmart and was a member of The Mountain Church of God, where she was very involved. Twila was a loving and caring person and never met a stranger. She would always try to help a person in need. Twila lived her life to the fullest and her family was everything to her. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping – especially at Bulltown – painting, and most of all spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.

Friends will be received Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at The Mountain Church of God Church on Thurman Ave in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the church with Bishop Frank Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mountain Church of God in Twila’s memory.

Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
