Wesleyan announces 2022 football schedule

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — West Virginia Wesleyan football announced the schedule that will be played in the fall of 2022. The schedule features 11 games including 10 against Mountain East Conference competition.

The Bobcats begin the 2022 lineup with a non-conference matchup at Saginaw Valley State on Thursday (Sept. 1). WVWC opens Mountain East Conference play in Pembroke, N.C., where they will visit the Braves of UNC Pembroke on Sept. 10.

The Bobcats’ home opener at Cebe Ross Field is scheduled for Sept. 17 versus Concord. The 2022 homecoming football game will be played on Oct. 1 against Wheeling.

Wesleyan’s three of its final five games will be played in Buckhannon. The Bobcats welcome Notre Dame (Ohio) on Oct. 15 and Charleston on Oct. 29. The ‘Cats home schedule concludes on Nov. 5 with a matchup versus Frostburg State.
