WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognizes National Health Care Facilities and Engineering Week

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognized National Health Care Facilities and Engineering Week, October 22-28. 

Every year, in the last week of October, we thank our facility and engineering staff for their hard work and dedication.  They ensure that we have a safe and efficient environment for all patients, residents, visitors and staff in our hospital and our clinics. 

This year’s theme is “Embracing Innovation, Achieving Excellence.”

Lacrosse Bucs crush Wheeing Park for first win, 15-3

Buckhannon-Upshur powered to its first win of the season with a 15-3 rout of Wheeling Park, using balanced scoring from seven players despite a near 30-minute delay. Braylon Oldaker, Easton Rice and Tobias Marple netted three goals each as the Bucs improved to 1-1.

Mark Paris named new dean of WVU Libraries and Press

WVU has named Mark Paris the next dean of WVU Libraries and Press, starting April 27. Formerly at Brandeis, he led efforts to modernize research infrastructure, expand open-access publishing and guide collections with data-driven strategy, succeeding retiring Dean Karen Diaz.
